Homeware Haul

Hey everyone!
I don't think I've ever done a homeware haul before, even though I'm forever buying things for my room!
I've only got a few things here that I've bought in the past month or so but I get so excited and wanted to
show you the bits I got. Plus I'm sure they will be more soon enough!

Pillow - Primark
Similar Here/Here
I like my bedding to be quite simple so its all white. I wanted to add a very small bit of colour and needed
some extra pillows anyway and thought these would go perfectly. Plus, there were only £5 each!

Small Vase - TK Maxx
Similar Here
I got this small vase/candle holder so I could use it for all my smaller make up brushes.

Lamp - Wilko
Here
I got two of these for each side and I like very simple, light colours in my room. My bedding and furniture is all
white, my walls are an pearl/ivory colour. (The paint colour was called Ivory Tusk and I got it from Wilkinson's.)
I like the bits in my room to either be white/cream/gold colours.

Large Vase W/ Gold Rim
Similar Here
I got two of these from Wilkinsons. I can't find a link for them on their website and I literally grabbed the last two
so I don't know whether they do them anymore :( They looked so beautiful though and I'm doing up my make-up
storage and want it to look very simple and elegant. I got one either side of my mirror on my desk and will be
using them as brush holders for my bigger make-up brushes.

Photo Frame - Asda
Here (but mine is in 6x4)
I have a photo of me and one of my nephews from the day they were both born and really just wanted a frame.
I love this style, I have another one very similar and this only cost me £4! Bargain.

(There side table isn't part of this but it's from Ikea for anyone wondering.)

August Favourites

Hey guys!
I can't believe we're going to be in September next week. Although I'm kind of glad as I quite I'm
looking forward to Autumn and Winter (not the rain though!)
Anyway, here's all the products I've been loving through the month of August.
Enjoy!

I found this Journal in TK Maxx. I can't find it anywhere online but I've linked where it's originally from, they
have some similar stuff on their website. I just really liked this and thought it would be a great note book to
write all my blogging stuff in. Also I just love the inspirational words on the front of it. It's a nice little reminder
whenever I write in it.

I did a review on this foundation in my last post and if you read it, you'd know I really liked it. It's the only
foundation I've used this whole month as I really love it. So inexpensive and gives a great dewy finish.
Definitely recommend giving it a go!

So, my local Superdrug just added this new brand in store and I was pretty much like a kid in a candy store
when I first saw it. I just wanted to pick up everything and try just, especially as it's all so affordable!
I'm going back to try out more things and will probably be doing a few reviews on them soon. So far, everything
I've tried from here, I love! This palette was only £4! I decided to get the matte palette as I don;t wear many
bright colours on my eyes and I just wanted a simple palette of their to try out first. This palette is great for the
price you pay. The eye shadow isn't the best pigment ever, but it's still pretty damn good and if I put on an eye
primer then it'll stay all day but if not, it'll fade throughout the day. So as long as you use a primer this palette is
great. I'll be going back to get more!

I also did a review on this concealer in my recent post as well and I literally love this stuff. It's just a great under
eye concealer. As you can see I've used it to death the past month. It's so creamy and glides on so smoothly. I
apply it with my Real Techniques blending sponge and gives a flawless finish.

I've been trying out different skincare products recently and after using up all my regular Clean & Clear spot
treatment gel I use, I bought this as I really like Soap & Glory's skincare range. I really like this spot treatment.
It reduces the size of the spot quite a lot over night. It doesn't completely get rid of it but it makes it look a lot less noticeable.

I have only ever bought a few things from the Topshop make-up range and I always forget how much I like
their products. These lip paints are so pigmented and aren't sticky at all. I really love this colour, it's so natural
and it's definitely a 'your lips but better' colour! I always pop this on when I want to add a bit of colour.

I'm really falling in love with this brand of make-up and this lipstick is such a great idea. It's basically a normal
lipstick but with Argan Oil on the outside of it. It give my lips so much hydration with a great colour. Plus, these
lipstick are only £3! I mean, come on. That's just such a deal I cannot pass up!

Since driving, I annoyingly have to pay for parking pretty much anywhere I go and I like to be organised and
prepared so I make sure I have tons of change all the time and having it all in my purse just makes it so heavy
so I wanted to invest in a cute little coin purse that I could just stick in my handbag. I found this one in H&M
and I really love it. It was £9.99, which I thought was pretty good! I can't find the exact one online so try looking
in store for it. I have linked one that has a similar look to it though.

Hit or Miss: Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation & Eraser Eye Concealer Review.

Hey guys.
Today I'm going to be reviewing two products from Maybelline. Neither of them are new and both
have been reviewed many times before I'm sure, but recently I've wanted to switch up my boring routine
of always using the same foundation and concealer. After doing a bit of researching, I wanted to try these
two from Maybelline as they both have some great reviews, are easily accessible and are really inexpensive.

 Foundation: 010 Ivory          Concealer: Light

This foundation claims that it gives you a flawless finish and evens skin tone instantly . It also claims that you will
have better looking skin in 3 weeks. Now, I've been using this foundation for about a week now. So far I really love
it. This particular shade is very slightly darker than me. I can just about get away with it if I blend really well. I will
be going back to repurchase the next shade down but I'm pretty sure the next shade down is the lightest colour
they had and I'm not THAT pale. So if you are very fair then you might be able to try this out as it doesn't have
a very wide range of shades from what I've seen in store.

I do love the look this foundation gives me when I wear it. It gives you a great glow, makes you look very
energised and healthy. I Wouldn't say it completely full coverage as I still have to use concealer but it does
cover up the majority or imperfections on my face. It gives quite a dewy finish on my face (which I love) but I
usually dab a bit of powder over my t-zone otherwise it makes you look quite oily. I've got dry/spot prone skin,
so I wouldn't  necessarily recommend this to anyone with oily skin. So far as the 'better looking skin in 3 weeks'
goes, I haven't noticed anything dramatic yet but we'll see!

Overall, I am really liking this foundation. The pros to this are that it gives a great finish and makes my skin look
very healthy and awake. It's very easy to get hold of it and it's under £10. Also, it does contain SPF 20 which I
always like in foundations. The only cons to this foundation is that it can transfer quite easily onto clothes and
for me, pillows! Which is something that is quite annoying considering on the packaging they've wrote
'Non-transfer'. Also it hasn't got much of a range of shades to choose from in stores.

I'm gonna give this foundation a HIT because I really do love it. I just have to learn not to lay on any pillows!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

I've been quite a loyal with my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for quite a while but I have wanted to
try this one for a very long time and I am SO happy I have. I know this is for the under eye area but I do use this all
over the face just because it's so good. I don't have too much to say about this concealer just because I can't really
fault it. Once it's set, it doesn't crease under the eyes and stays put all day. It's so easy to use, easy to get hold of,
inexpensive and glides on so nicely.

Anyway, I think you get the gist of it. I really love it, so it's gotta be a HIT.
